Is there anyone in this galaxy who hasn’t joined the Twitter explosion?
Oh, only you? Okay I’ll briefly describe what Twitter is.
Twitter is the recent addition to what is called ‘social media’. Essentially, it is a free service where you can communicate with anyone else online by typing messages with up to 140 characters.
Well, I joined recently, a late adapter (dinosaur), and I’ve noticed that some Twitterers have thousands of follows and that intrigues me.
How do you form a relationship with 1000’s?
And what would happen if they all turned up on your front door step?
Well, I prefer to be a little star in the twitter universe and have a small number of followers as well as people I follow.
That way I can keep up with the twitter stream of messages that come bursting through my tweetdeck and don’t have to ‘manage’ or ‘control’ 1000’s of followers.
Perhaps it is the little stars that shine brightly when it comes to forming a true social relationship.
